Cats are a common theme and subject in my photography. My cat Katerina with an abstract cat sculpture was from a photoshoot shot for a Three Dimensional Art course. The black and white photo of Katerina was part of a portrait series for a Digital Photography course. While traveling around northern California, I captured a curious little kitten at the perfect moment.
These photos were shot at Yanks Air Museum at Chino Airport in California. The blue plane with the famous shark smile is a Grumman G-50 Hellcat (F6F-5). The chrome plane is a Lockheed 12-A Electra Jr. (C-40D), the same model used by Amelia Earhart during her famous attempt to fly around the world.
These two photos were from a series I shot in a Photo 50 course. The goal was to link two images, one of a scene and another of an object and then use them as a source of inspiration. The shooting location, a stream near Mount Baldy, was inspired by a scene during the gold rush. The idea of finding a small mysterious object was based on the One Ring from Tolkien Legendarium.
These photos were from a series I shot in a Photo 50 course. The premise of this series was to use a plot premise from the book Plotto: The Master Book of All Plots and create photographs to tell a story. A generous amount of fog, made by mixing warm water and dry ice was used to create a mysterious feel.
